Scientists at the Don State Technical University have found a substance that eliminates one of the main reasons for the resistance of microbes to antibiotics. Bioactive compounds of Elettaria cardamomum inhibit the formation of biofilms, so they will be useful in the creation of new antimicrobial drugs. The results are published in the journal Frontiers in Microbiology.
