RIA NEWS wrote about the intention of the DSTU scientists to find out whether hedgehogs and rats living in Russian cities can infect people with coronaviruses. As part of a grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR), the university’s research group will study viruses and the potential of some animals to carry it. In addition, during the working process, it will be necessary to make it clear whether such viruses from the «risk group» can infect people through their respiratory tract and gastrointestinal tract.
