The meeting was held on February 29 by the head of laboratory «Agrobiotechnology Center» Michael Chikindas. The following issues were discussed:
- in the field of veterinary medicine: monitoring results of the main breeds of birds raised in the Rostov region and conditions of their maintenance and feeding;
- in the field of engineering: modules of the gastrointestinal tract of birds were presented, methods for controlling methane, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and acidity in the gastrointestinal tract and the costs necessary to create a model of the artificial intestine were considered;
- in the field of microbiology: microbiota analysis was carried out, questions on determining the quality, characteristics of strains and its parameters were cultivated;
- in the field of technology: problems with liquid-phase production were identified; the tasks of developing conditions for solid-phase fermentation, preservation of drugs and the search for poultry farms for research.
The issue of acquiring equipment for veterinary research and analysis of tissue preparations of biological objects under investigation was also considered.
