Cell technology section

Conducts basic and applied research in the field of tissue-engineered cell designs and testing the properties of probiotics.

Current areas of research:

1. Testing the properties of probiotics using in vitro models:

  • •Adhesion and cytotoxicity test, biofilm formation test
  • • establishment of monoculture and co-culture systems for human cell lines (Caco-2, HT-29, HRA-19)
  •

2. Biocompatible materials development.

3. Application of 3D bioprinting method in tissue-engineered cellular designs creation

4. Biological 3D printing for modeling individual parts of a modular gastrointestinal system simulating animal digestive systems

The laboratory has the necessary equipment to isolate, provide incubation conditions and long-term storage of cell cultures.
